“I had talked about taking a vacation before, but always ended up in the studio after two weeks, so no one believed me. This time, though, I was serious. I was going to give myself a year to do the things I never get to do.”
“Simple things like play with my nephew, pick him up from school, visit museums, go to concerts, see some Broadway shows, learn to cook a meal and spend time with my husband … Yes, I needed some relaxation, but I wanted inspiration too, from regular everyday things.”
Four songs down and I still don't hear a hit. Take a listen above to the new single from Beyoncé's upcoming album 4. It's titled "Best Thing I Never Had." I smell another flop coming her way. This is mediocre at best.
1. 1+1 2. I Care 3. I Miss You 4. Best Thing I Never Had 5. Party (Feat Andre 3000) 6. Rather Die Young 7. Start Over 8. Love On Top 9. Countdown 10. End of Time 11. I Was Here 12. Run The World (Girls)
p.s. Why on earth is the picture from above NOT the album cover???!
Beyoncé acknowledged Lorella Cuccarini's performance and even reveals that, it was the inspiration behind hers all along and that she worked with the people who made Lorella's performance happen last year. Here's what she said:
"My makeup artist showed me the performance of Lorella Cuccarini a year ago, and it inspired me so much. I then met with the talented people who worked on it. The technology and concept were so genius. Thank god for YouTube or I would have never been exposed to something so inspiring. I never worked so hard on anything in my life as that performance for the Billboard Awards."
This is not the first time she's judged for copying other people. This one is pretty obvious though. Check out Beyoncé's Billboard performance above side-by-side with an Italian singer's performance from last year.
Check out Beyoncé perform her single "Run the World" live at the Billboard Music Awards tonight. Love the visuals in this performance, but no matter how much effort they put into this single, it is still one of the worst songs released this year.
Whoa - that scene at the beginning where the horse stands up is killer! Check out the music video for Beyoncé's "Run the World." Awful song, great video, awesome dancing. Go figure. Enjoy!
Beyoncé is struggling to make her new single "Run the World (Girls)" a hit after it made a discouraging debut at #33 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single hit the iTunes Store last Thursday, the girl-power anthem starts on Digital Songs at No. 23 selling only 77,000 downloads. On Radio Songs, the track begins at No. 65 with 18 million in audience.
Beyoncé joined forces with U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and the National Association of Broadcasters Education Foundation to help boost her campaign against child obesity. Knowles reworked "Get Me Bodied" and renamed it "Move Your Body" for the Let's Move! initiative. Check out the music video released for that above!
Take a listen above to Beyoncé's new single "Girls (Who Run the World)" off her upcoming fourth studio album. Catchy song! I like this. Not her best though.
Check out a picture above of Beyoncé on the set of the music video shoot for her upcoming single allegedly titled "Girl." The song is the first single off her 4th album. I almost feel like it's too early for new music... but it really isn't! I Am... Sasha Fierce was released over two years ago, but the music still sounds so recent to me, haha.
As if a new Beyoncé album isn’t hyped up enough on its own, Sony Music Australia boss Denis Handlin is pumping up the Glastonbury headliner’s set of tunes even more. “[She] played us six tracks from the album,” said Handlin, who also claims the album will drop in June. “She wants to do a big tour off the back of this record… These songs, the best description I can give is groundbreaking; she’s gone to another level.”
